When some people hear Positive Psychology they automatically think of positive thinking or smiley faces and as a consequence, some get a tight knot in their stomach. Rightfully so. Positive Psychology is not about unicorns and that everyone should always be happy and smile all the time. That is not the aim of Positive Psychology and certainly not mine.
Today I had a very interesting conversation in preparation for one of the mindfulness trainings I give for the company I am working for. The topic was about becoming aware that we are not our thoughts.
Life cannot be a happy journey all the time. We all experience good times and bad times. I also have to remind myself from time to time, to accept difficult phases and not resist them. This entry is about a message, I wrote two years ago and which I stumbled upon today.
