A part of being a good leader is the ability to develop your team and your team member. In order to be able to develop a team member, you need to get to know him or her. One important attribute are a person’s strengths. You need to be very observant to spot a person’s strengths. Fortunately, this can be trained.
First of all, thank you Ivana for introducing these books to me! This is not going to be a full-blown book review, but a minor one with my thoughts on the books and the author.
You might think that there is already a word for this called biography, but this is not what I mean. A biography is often written so that others can get to know you and your life. A book about yourself is also no diary. A diary is also a great way to understand yourself and your thoughts better. However, a diary is not aimed at figuring out more about yourself. It is more of a response to daily events. A book about yourself is directed solely at increasing your understanding of yourself.
Oh boy, how much I was looking forward to writing about this book. And, at the same time, I was stalling, because I don’t know whether this entry will do justice to the book and its value. What I can tell is that it shaped my understanding of parenting and leadership to quite an extent. That is why the book: Marva Collins’s Way: Returning to Excellence in Education is so dear to me.
I am a librophile. I always read several books at once. It doesn’t matter if it is a fictional or non-fiction book. The following book is a fatasy novel and the first part of the series.
