Poem: Do what makes you laugh

Maybe two weeks ago, I wrote this poem to bring some light into my life. Having heavy thoughts all the time can be such a downer =). I think it is important to fill your life with laughter and some lightness. I hope you’ll enjoy this poem.

Do what makes you laugh because your laughter is a song

Laughter is an antidote it makes you happy it makes you strong

Show the world your teeth and laugh so loud you can

Laughter is a song and the world will be your fan

Watch a funny clip or play around with your friends

You won at a game now let’s show us how you dance

Come up with crazy sounds and share them with the world

Pretend to be an animal and whistle like a bird

Read your favorite book where the story makes you laugh

Give us your full grin not a quarter not a half

Jump around with kids and together play hide and seek

Roll on the ground and laugh so hard you cannot speak

Do what makes you laugh because your laughter is a song

Laughter is an antidote it makes you happy it makes you strong

Show the world your teeth and laugh so loud you can

Laughter is a song and the world will be your fan

Behave like a sea lion and clap into your hands

That’s the perfect way to embarrass yourself and your friends

Laugh about yourself because what else can you do?

When you ran against a lantern and you spilled your coffee, too

Life might not be easy that’s why laughter is the key

A life without is empty a fact you might be willing to agree

So, let’s have fun together to fend off sorrow to fend off gloom

Enjoy your life to the fullest and may laughter fill the room.

Do what makes you laugh because your laughter is a song

Laughter is an antidote it makes you happy it makes you strong

Show the world your teeth and laugh so loud you can

Laughter is a song and the world will be your fan

Love and hugs, Stephan
