In the entry about my unplanned trip to Dublin, I was announcing that there will come the time I write about a very special tea. This time has finally arrived.
My host in Dublin was a beautiful lady who not only told me interesting things about the city and where I should go, but also introduced me to one of my favorite teas. The name of the tea is French Earl Grey and is offered by the company T2.
The first time I smelled the tea I knew I was hooked. I like the smell of Earl Grey, but this one was special. It had a very fruity aroma and at the same time it smelled somehow light. The taste supported my initial feeling of lightness. You don’t need a lot of tea and it still tastes wonderfully light. It is an invigorating tea and it can be drunk cold and hot.
How do I prepare it?
I take one to two teaspoons of tea and then I pour boiling water over it for a cup (0.3 – 0.4 liter). As it is a black tea, the water needs to be boiling. I let it brew for 3 to 4 minutes. You shouldn’t brew it for much longer as the tea gets quite bitter then. I normally drink my tea without anything in it. However, I tried this one with honey and also with lemon juice. It still tastes very good. But to get most of the flavor, I recommend drinking it pure.
I hope you enjoy a good cup of tea today and maybe you will try out French Earl Grey for yourself. I promise you won’t regret it =)
Have a wonderful day and take care!
